Matching Gift Challenge – Triple Your Impact!

LARNED, Kan. (October 29, 2014) Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation is launching a special opportunity to help in fully funding the new MRI at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital.  During the Matching Gift Challenge taking place between November 17 and December 31, all donations to the PVCH Foundation will be tripled!

Thanks to a group of very generous supporters who have pledged $100,000 in matching funds, the impact of gifts of any size will be matched 2:1 up to ($50,000). The matching amount will go to the MRI Fund, which helps fund the new in-house MRI currently being installed at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital.

The extra matching funds come from the Glenn and Elaine Mull Family Fund at the Golden Belt Community Foundation. Glenn served as a Trustee on the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation and felt strongly that the community needed this medical service and diagnostic tool in the immediate area. “He was often frustrated by the economics on the outflow of funds from the community to other medical groups simply because Larned lacked this equipment,” explained Jennifer Ladwig, daughter of Glenn and Elaine Mull. “Having an in-house MRI is something that Glenn really wanted to have happen for the community.”
“The Matching Gift Challenge is an exciting time because our supporters can give to the MRI Fund and help further the quality healthcare we can provide the citizens of our area,” shared Linda Henderson, PVCH Foundation Director.  “It’s a great chance to see $50 do $150 worth of good, or convert $250 into a $750 impact. I know that having in-house MRI services was something Glenn was very passionate about for our hospital and the communities that we serve.”
Gift matching is automatically activated when a contribution is made to the MRI Fund at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation.

“The generosity of our supporters during the Matching Gift Challenge enables the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation to leverage gifts towards fully funding the new in-house MRI,” said Suzan Haynes, the organization’s President.  “By working together, we can make a huge impact on healthcare for the communities that we serve, and I want to thank everyone whose gifts and efforts help further our mission.”
To have your gift matched, simply make a donation between now and December 31, 2015, by calling 620-285-8840 or mailing your gift to Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation, c/o MRI Fund, 923 Carroll Avenue, Larned KS 67550.
