About The Foundation

The Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation was formed in 2012 and is a charitable, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization whose mission is to advance quality healthcare in Pawnee County.  The Foundation, in partnership with our donors, seeks to meet both immediate and long range health care needs in Pawnee County.

The Foundation is guided by a group of local Trustees who have been selected for their leadership roles in the community along with their vision for the success of the Foundation.   Each Trustee understands the value of quality healthcare for the citizens of Pawnee County and knows the importance of staying on top of the advancing healthcare needs in our community.

About the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital

The Pawnee Valley Community Hospital was officially formed on March 1, 2010, as a non-profit hospital.  In the Spring of 2013, Pawnee Valley Community Hospital is moving into the new replacement hospital located next to the original hospital building. Striving to be the best Critical Access Hospital in rural America, this new building serves the citizens of Pawnee County and surrounding communities.

Pawnee Valley Community Hospital is a 25 bed Medicare Certified Critical Access Hospital.  We provide both inpatient and outpatient services including, upper and lower GI scopes, cataract surgery, emergency care, full service laboratory, specialized nursing services, skilled nursing/swing bed services, respiratory therapy, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, sleep disorder center, both inpatient and outpatient physical and occupational therapy, cardiac nuclear stress testing, EEG, X-ray, CT, ultrasound, mobile digital mammography, bone density/Dexascan, and Mobile MRI.  Monthly specialty clinics include cardiology, oncology, orthopedic, internal medicine and urology.

The hospital employs more than 80 dedicated professionals who are the heart and soul of providing quality healthcare at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital.  Pawnee Valley Community Hospital is one of the top employers in Pawnee County and has a significant economic impact on the Pawnee County area.

During 2012, Pawnee Valley Community Hospital admitted 284 patients, treated 2,678 patients in the Emergency Room, and treated 19,963 billable units of service.  Pawnee Valley Medical Associate’s Clinic more than 5,955 patients were seen, and on average they are seeing 60 new patients per month.
